China has consistently been expanding its childcare service infrastructure, successfully providing a total of 4.77 million childcare spots by the of 2023, as reported during an official session of the National People's Congress Standing Committee.

The report highlights that the nation now offers diverse childcare options such as community-based services, employer-run nurseries, family daycare centers, and comprehensive childcare facilities. As per the statistics at year- 2023, there are approximately 1.12 million full-time employees working in China's childcare sectorhalf of whom are dedicated childcare staff.

Looking ahead to the future, China ms for an increase in the number of childcare spots per thousand people up to 4.5 by the of the 14th Five-Year Plan period 2021-2025.

The growing emphasis on enhancing children's welfare and ensuring quality care has been a top priority in recent years, reflecting China's commitment to improving the overall wellbeing of its citizens.
